How to size your dog for the fur saver:
Please measure the width of your dog's neck and add 2 to 3 inches to determine an appropriate collar length. The weight of this Chrome Plated Fur Saver Collar depends on the size and varies between 3.6 oz - 5.5 oz (100 g - 160 g).
Herm Sprenger new method of processing, called Chrome plating, is a technique of electroplating a thin layer of chromium onto a metal product. This Collar is made of steel and then the aforementioned technique was used to make it more practicable. Products that undergo the process, usually look more decorative, then ordinary stainless steel. The chromed layer will provide corrosion resistance for your collar as well as ease cleaning procedures. These collars will serve you and your dog for years.
How do these chains reach such brilliant and durable surface? Whereas other manufacturers only dip the chains before galvanizing, Sprenger uses a different procedure of mirror-bright polishing. Dipping means to remove non-metallic unclean things like oil from the chains. The metal becomes clear but has no surface polishing. The advantage of our polishing is that the surface becomes much smoother and has this special bright shine. After tumbling, the chains are nickel or chrome plated. Laboratory permanently monitors these nickel and chrome baths. Sprenger examines the grip of the nickel layer through "bending" tests before the chains are chromium plated.

Hi gang, we just got our order, unpacked, and test-drove our doggies. Everything is AWESOME. We ALL love the HS toggle choke collars. Gunny the bulldog and Lark the collie love not having their faces smushed or hair pulled as happened with our old typical choke collars. The leather is GORGEOUS! I am in love with Lark's new everyday leash. I used to buy my everyday training leashes at J & J, but they do not offer black leather or the HS scissors clasp. I can't believe how crazy I am about a plain old training leash. I really appreciate the option of the thinner width for the leash. I have small hands and my girl, although big, is not a big puller, so I like to go out as light as I can, and this leash fits the bill perfectly. The leather is quite easy to handle right out of the box! The black is important as Lark is a tri-color :), and the HS clasp is important because finding the nib to open a regular clasp in all her hair has always been a challenge. It is so nice to have such nice everyday gear!!! Pretty, functional, and solves all of my problems. I love the elegant little black and brass traffic handle for her too. Really nice quality, and very, very attractive. Everything looks like it would be very expensive! Karl loves Gunny's new HS choke collar as much as Gunny does! Makes things less stressful all the way around not to have to squeeze over a bulldog's head, so he thanks you for carrying those.
